Rosehall Run Cabernet Merlot 2021
A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot that is primarily derived from old vines from Schenck Vineyards within the Creek Shores appellation. The wine sees a 16-month élevage in a combination French and American oak prior to bottling. Blackberry and blueberry compote meddle with cedar spice aromas. On the palate, a velvety profile contains dark fruit that becomes energized with lively acidity and persists on a long, black olive finish. Drinking nicely now but would surely reward another 5-7 years in the cellar. Pair with grilled meats or mushroom burgers. 91 points
